Frequently asked questions
›Does Vikkun take a cut of my sale?
No. Product payments go directly from buyer to seller. Vikkun earns from coins (bid fees, auction bonds, promotion) — never commission on your sale.
›What are coins?
Vikkun’s utility credit, bought in packs. They pay bid fees and stakes, seller bonds, and listing promotion. Stakes and bonds are refunded when you honour your deals. Coins have no cash-out.
›Why does bidding cost a stake?
The refundable stake makes a bid a commitment. Win and complete the deal — everything comes back. Win and vanish — the stake is forfeit and your trust score drops. That’s what keeps auctions honest.
›How do I pay for an item?
When a deal is created, the seller’s own payment details (bank or Swipe) appear on the deal page. Pay them directly, then mark the deal as paid so the seller can confirm.
›What is the trust score?
A 0–1000 score computed from a trader’s completed deals — honoured deals raise it, defaults lower it, with recent activity weighing more. Nobody can hand-edit it, including us.
›Can I sell from any island?
Yes. Set your island on the listing so buyers know where the item is; buyers filter by atoll and island, and delivery (meet-up, boat, courier) is agreed in chat.
›What happens if a buyer or seller disappears?
Deals have deadlines. A buyer who never pays, or a seller who never delivers, defaults: their stake or bond is forfeited, their trust score takes the hit, and repeat offenders lose auction access.
›How do disputes work?
Open a dispute from the deal page within the dispute window. Both sides attach evidence (photos, chat is already on record) and the moderation team rules on it.
