How Vikkun works
Buying
- Find it. Browse, search, or filter by island and category. Heart a listing to watch it, or save a search to get alerted when something new matches.
- Buy or bid. Fixed-price items can be bought instantly or negotiated in chat with an offer. Auctions take live bids — a small coin fee plus a refundable stake per bid keeps bidding serious.
- Pay the seller directly. When a deal is created, you’ll see the seller’s own payment details (bank transfer or Swipe). Vikkun never holds your money.
- Confirm. Once you’ve paid, mark the deal paid; the seller confirms and hands over the item. Both sides can review each other afterwards.
Selling
- List it. Photos, price (or auction parameters), condition, your island, and how you want to be paid. Free accounts can keep a few listings active at once; paid tiers raise the limits.
- Auctions need coins. Publishing an auction locks a refundable seller bond, so listed items really show up.
- Close the deal. When someone buys or wins, a deal opens with a payment deadline. Confirm once you’ve been paid, hand the item over, and your trust score grows.
Coins, stakes and bonds
Coins are Vikkun’s utility credit — bought in packs, never cashed out. They power bid fees, stakes, seller bonds, and promotion (bumping or featuring a listing). Stakes and bonds are returned when you honour your side of a deal; walking away forfeits them and dents your trust score. See Fees for the details.
If something goes wrong
Deals carry a dispute window — open a dispute from the deal page and our team will review the evidence from both sides. Read Staying safe before you trade.
